The UniStar IIILA provides reliable blackout
protection, plus protection against voltage fluctuations, frequency
fluctuations, harmonics, electrical noise, and brownouts. Optional
extended runtime battery cabinets can provide almost unlimited backup run
times.
This sophisticated, yet affordable UPS offers online technology and a
wide input voltage range to provide a constant, clean, steady sinewave to
equipment, even without going to battery mode.
The user friendly display clearly communicates the UPS status, making
diagnostics a trouble-free task. The included software also gives
you the ability to remotely test major operating functions, access the UPS
functions via the internet, and receive SMS alerts when specific events
occur. It is compatible with Novell NetWare, Linux, Free BSD,
Windows 95/98, Windows NT, Windows XP, and other Windows operations. An
optional adapter card can give you the ability to run the UPS through your
local network.

The Staco industry-leading, three-year
warranty comes standard with every UniStar IIILA
Just to give you the advantage of the Staco line of double conversion UPS (AC
to DC, DC back to AC), I recently witnessed a demonstration as follows:
Staco had set up a series of three lights and each one was monitored by a
volt meter. One light was before the UPS units, one was hooked to a
typical inexpensive standby UPS and one was hooked to a Staco double conversion
UPS. As the voltage was lowered such as you might see in a brown out the
following was observed. At a 100 volts the voltage coming from the
inexpensive UPS had also dropped to a 100 volts. The Staco UPS continued
to put out 120 volts. As the voltage was lowered to around 90 volts the
inexpensive UPS unit then went to battery and put out around 110 volts. I am
told the voltage will vary with age of the unit and battery. The Staco
unit continued to put out 120 volts. When the voltage was lowered to close to 80
volts the Staco unit then went to battery and continued to put out 120 volts.
I ask you which would you rather have powering your sensitive computer
equipment?
